Big Birthday, Big Prizes!

I hinted in my last post that I had some surprises up my sleeve! I can’t reveal everything just yet, but I hope you headed over to Instagram and have entered my 50th *cough* birthday giveaway 😀 (It’s the post with this picture, below).

Today is the last day to participate in order to win a signed set of my trilogy, a $15 Amazon gift card, and a little bit o’ book swag.

In other birthday news, I’m crushing on my husband in new ways after he orchestrated the building of the world’s biggest deck (in my estimate!) and gathered many dear friends over to break it in with a birthday BBQ bash.

To top it all off, my granddaughter’s birthday is the day before my own, and so we got to celebrate her cute self as well!

I feel unbelievably blessed by family and friends. The Lord is good and I am grateful for His kindness extended to me in so many rich and rewarding ways!

I leave you with a frivolous question… Do you treat yourself with a birthday gift? Though I don’t go looking for things, I’ll admit that if I happen across something tantalizing I am quick to say “Yes, it’ll be my b-day gift to myself!”. That happened this past week when I was looking for comfy shoes for my upcoming trip to IRELAND (Yesssss! More about that soon!) and found these designer babies on the clearance rack. They’re as comfy as they are snazzy 🙂 Apparently, if you spend enough on shoes you can have both, LOL. Who knew? What have you splurged on for yourself?
