2019 might be the Chinese Year of the Pig, but did you know that 2018 was The Year of Snow White? Yep. For realz.
Thanks to Rooglewood Press’s Five Poisoned Apples contest, hundreds of Snow White retellings were spawned last year, including my novella For Such a Time as This (which is free when you sign up for my newsletter, hint hint!). Though only five stories were selected to be a part of their collection (my story was a finalist but didn’t get the golden ticket 😉 ), many authors chose to publish their stories on their own!
I’ve been amazed at all of the angles these creative authors found to uniquely tell the elements from the original fairytale. From modern day, to the Civil War, to Asia, to the Bible, there were endless ways to pen this tale!
Tonight, I hope you’ll join me as sixteen authors who have nineteen retellings to share (some authors wrote more than one story) celebrate the lovely Snow White in all her incarnations. There will be GIVEAWAYS galore and fun to be had in quantities out numbering the dwarves!
