Cover Reveal and Treading Water

An invite and a quick update, friends!

First off, you may remember my mentioning my novella, For Such a Time as This, releasing sometime this summer. Well, there’s been an exciting development in that it is now part of a larger collection of Snow White retellings that will be released in succession this October (um, yeah, definitely NOT the summer…my apologies!).

Tonight this group of authors is having a cover reveal to show off our books’ lovely new wardrobes and share a little about our stories. If you’re a lover of fairytale retellings or are a fan of Snow White, I hope you’ll check it out. My time slot will be 7:30pm CST. Oh, and if you saw an early version of my cover in my newsletter . . . well, I didn’t stay with that one and am pretty pumped about my new cover (think 80s paperback vibe!). Aaanndd, it will ALSO be available in paperback once it releases!

No, this isn’t the cover!

BUT, if you want the ebook for the ridiculously low price of FREE, you can ignore the preorder price and simply make sure you’re on my newsletter list! I’ve promised all along that it would be a free ebook for my subscribers and that’s still going to happen once it releases.

I’ve got tons more to share! It’s been a summer full of travel and a fabulous writer’s conference in Portland. It’s been hard to keep up with much more than keeping my head above water so my apologies for long stretches of silence here. Since I just returned home from almost three weeks on the road, and have tonight’s party to prepare for, I promise to share more about what I’ve been up to, what God is doing in my writing realm, and what plans are developing very soon!

And . . . I’m under no disillusionment that you guys are wondering any of this about me or my blog, bahaha! But I’m going to share it anyway ๐Ÿ˜€ Life is SO busy, isn’t it?

What have you all been doing this summer?!

  1. I’m always happy to hear ๐Ÿ™‚ , even if I’m a little delayed and miss the party! ๐Ÿ™ lol

      1. After Realm Makers, not a lot other than getting my daughter back to school August 8th. Mostly a lot of car trouble lately. We’re taking my car back in for the second time today and hopefully they’ll have it fixed, not too expensively, soon. And then it’s Hubby’s turn for round 2 also. *whew*

        1. Iโ€™m so shocked that school starts so early these days! In my mind, it should wait until after Labor Day.
Sorry about your car troubles. Those are never fun. Round 2…chemo? Will be praying for him!

          1. Oh no – I meant for his car! Sorry to mislead you there. His car was in the shop last week for battery cable and radiator hose issues. (We had to have it towed which meant swiping my car from the shop where they hadn’t started actually working on it yet.) But they couldn’t hear the rumbling noise we’ve been hearing. We have since figured out it only makes the noise when driving between 38-42 miles per hour. But my car desperately needs a new catalytic converter – I’ve been driving on it since July and I’m getting nervous we’re being too risky – so it’s back in the shop today and as soon as they get mine taken care of, we’re going to have to take Hubby’s back in for round 2 at the mechanics asap. My googling has me concerned it could be his wheel bearings and we don’t want to risk anything bad happening. (Of course, googling mechanical symptoms is probably as bad as idea as googling medical ones. ๐Ÿ˜‰ lol)

          2. Ahhhh! Well, as horrible as car trouble is, Iโ€™m glad itโ€™s that and not what I thought ๐Ÿ˜ณ. Praying for you guys to get rolling again!
